One more post and I will go do some art. But thought I would at least show that my heart belongs to textiles.....and since they are becoming a mixed media art form, I can add other arts that I enjoy. I did do a watercolor accordian book and didn't sew a thing.

Hello Eileen Welcome to the blogging world and Im glad you have started one up. Loved your pictures very inspiring. You are now officially famous lol. Totally cool Blog name too. This will really encourage you to get some art finished just so you get to show off lol I know it works for me though Im a bit bogged down with a situation at the moment but hope to be able to resume my art very soon and get all blogged out again. haha Welcome to 2008 and have a wonderful and fulfilling Art Year. smiles Michelle
your work is wonderful. I love the water color accordion. Did it take long to work on each section? Did you watercolor the figures on paper or is that cloth?

Thanks for the wonderful comments gals. I am still trying to figure this blogging thing out. Some of you asked about the watercolor book. It is really the Tim Holtz Distress Inks on watercolor paper. I just sponged the inks on, spritz the paper with water, held it up so that it would run and once I was happy with the look, I took out the trusty heat gun and dried it. You can always add more inks or spray it with walnut ink.
I followed you here from the Yahoo Artists Circle and I'm like you...I like fabric and textiles....can you direct me to any good sites / groups where I can learn more and be inspired?
I've just started creating so I have lots in my head and don't know what to do with it!
