CUT OUT BOOK
Supplies:
4 sheets of watercolor paper 9” x 12”
Cardstock 5” x 10”
Sprays
Ink Pads
Stamps
Stencils
Exacto Knife/Punches
Scoreboard
Needle and heavy thread
Awe
Stapler ad staples
Directions:
Spray, stamp and stencil al sides of the watercolor paper
and cardstock.
Once dry you will do the following scoring. On the
watercolor paper, score at 6” on the 12: side. This will give you 4 signatures.
On the cardstock score at 2 ½-3 ½-4 ½-5 ½-6 ½-7 ½-8 ½. Now
fold this strip in accordion folds.
Cut the watercolor paper down to 7 x 12. The reason I didn’t cut it down first is so
that I could use the strips as inserts in the signatures. Now you can cut out
shapes in the signature, BUT do not cut anyig in the last back page.
This may be confusing, but insert one of the papers into the
first accordion fold, then using the awl or some kind of paper piercer, pierce
three spaced holes thru the watercolor paper and the cardstock fold. Now take a needle and heavy thread and bind
the paper into the accordion. Do this 4
times. You can use some of the shape pieces you cut out or some of the strips
you cut off. But save one of the shapes
as a sort of binding,
Once all the signatures are attached, cut one of the strips I
a length that will go across the accordion folds and signatures add 2 “ so that
at each end it will fold over the cardstock frontand back ends. Can’t say how long to cut each because each book can be different Now just staple the “binding strip “ to the cardstock ends.
NOW THE BOOK IS DONE……
